Volume 2 is the second of Mysticons comic book series.
It is was released on the twenty-first of May, same as Ruins of the Empire, Part One from Avatar:The Legend of Korra comics.
Synopsis[]
In an effort to convince Emerald to have some fun and leave the house, the Mysticons head to Magi Mall. Em is hesitant at first, but although her spirits are lifted when she runs into Felix Castle, the star of a high-stakes robotics competition called "Machinations."
Without missing a beat- and without a plan or even a robot- Em agrees to try out at the show's next open audition. When she and Piper enter the competition, they not only find themselves battling with robots, but against new friends with scorned feelings.

- Emerald fights in her upgraded childhood Battle-Mech for the first time.
- Kitty and Kasey Boon are the very first allies of the second Mysticons to appear in the comics series.
- Malachite Goldenbraid is twice referenced by his daughter.
- Piper says that "revenge is a dish best severed with bots", a pun on "revenge is a dish best served cold."
- Just Emerald, Felix has a gigantic mech battle-suit that he commandeers from inside. It has different weaponry than Emerald's does; such a net.
- In addition to Sky Pies, a more formal restaurant is revealed: Le Pierrot Anxieux, that consists of French-speaking workers. This implies that the people of Gemina speak French, as do humans of Earth.

- Emerald's addiction to the game-show is similar to her becoming addicted to board games at the end of "Game of Phones."

- Emerald is called "Joan of Spark" as reference to the mythical Frenchwoman Joan of Arc.
- Malvaron Grimm, Doug Hadderstorm are absent and are never mentioned.
