"The Lost Scepter" is the thirtieth episode of Mysticons, and the tenth episode of its second and final season.

Synopsis[]
The Mysticons race against the Vexicons to retrieve an ancient and powerful scepter belonging to an a centuries-old child king before it is given to Proxima, so she can fully have total over the minds of everyone in the entire realm. Zarya is left to watch her arrogant, self-centered stepbrother at the Stronghold, much to her annoyance, while the others try to solve the riddles left by King Lorius to Glorious, who happened to have been King Darius and Gawayne's ancestor, in the Undercity.
As the scepter can only be used by the bloodline of King Lorius, Proxima orders Gawayne to demand that the Mysticons surrender their weapons in order to render them completely powerless. However, Gawayne refuses, as it is not what his father would have wanted of him, and orders Proxima to leave and never return. She does so, vowing that it is not over between her and the Mysticons.
Zarya has written her very first letter to the statue of her biological mother, and admits how she cannot wait to meet her once the Queen is finally restored to living flesh and blood.

- A new race of magical creatures are introduced: the Vexicons, who may be a reference to the Rowdyruff Boys who are the stronger, male counterparts of the Powerpuff Girls, the Dark Turtles, evil clones of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the four Knights of Destruction- Shagon the Hate, Khor the Destroyer, Tridart the Despair and Ember the Pain- who combat the second generation of Guardians of the Veil- Wilhelmina Vandom, Irma Lair, Taranee Cook, Cornelia Hale and Hay Lin- and were also created by the dark emotions of the corrupt original fifth Guardian Nerissa in the second season of W.I.T.C.H.
