"The Coronation" is the third episode in Season 1 of Mysticons. The episode premiered on August 30, 2017 on both Nickelodeon in the United States and YTV in Canada.

Summary[]
Gawayne invites everyone in the kingdom except his stepsister to celebrate his coronation as King of Gemina. Elsewhere, to get the almighty Dragon Disk from the new Mysticons, Dreadbane hires female biker toll Kymraw to abduct the newly crowned king as ransom.

In the Episode[]
- Princess Arkayna said that she "wasted" her bright green Dragon Bracer at the party. But in subsequent episodes, bracers are utilized more than once.
- When Gawayne protests "How am I supposed to climb that rope? I have, like, zero upper body strength. Look: nothing but jiggle."
- Pretty certain this is just him making excuses for his lack of physical strength. In "Sisters in Arms", he clearly slacked during training sessions, going through the motions with no appreciation for the cause.
- When Princess Arkayna, in her Mysticon disguise, speaks in front of Gawayne, she is careful to use the aliases the hide the others identities by calling them "Ranger, Striker and "Knight" respectively.
- Kymraw makes her very first appearance and is the main villain in the episode.
- Princess Arkayna utilizes her ability of Telekinesis, for the very first time. How she discovered Mysticon Dragon Mage possesses this psionic ability is unclear.
Outside the Episode[]
- This is the first time a toll appears; Kymraw is the only female of a tribe called "Road Ragers" or "Orcs" in a place far from from Drake City.
- This is the first and last time all four Mysticons are seen wearing formal attire. Later on, Emerald donned hers for her first date with her very first boyfriend.
- The Throne Room appears, but the statutes of Queen Goodfey and King Darius are not.
