Summary[]
Emerald's first date with her new boyfriend and crush, Kasey, is rudely interrupted when he is kidnapped by the evil pirate Captain Kaos. The Mysticons set off on a swashbuckling adventure to rescue Kasey while Kaos wants revenge on both Kitty and Zarya, who had marooned him years ago.

- It is revealed that Emerald and Kasey are both fans of a movie titled Questica Nighty: Mage Detective.
- Zarya is shown to have had a pendent with a dark green stone, which is all she has left of her late mother, Mrs. Moonwolf.
- This is the first time a villain knows the Mysticons' identities. In this case, it's Captain Kaos.
- Captain Kaos makes his debut and was the main villain in this episode.
- The spire of ancient ruins contains a far greater evil power of the Spectral Hand itself; overshadowing of the final battle in the "series finale."
