"How to Train a Mysticon" is the second episode of Mysticons. The episode premiered August 29, 2017 on both Nickelodeon in the United States and YTV in Canada.
Summary[]
The second generation of legendary Mysticons, and middle-level astromancer Malvaron, head to the Astromancers Academy to begin their formal training to fully develop and master their mystical abilities and weaponry as the new protectors of Gemina. Their solon, top-level astromancer Tazma Grimm, elder sister of Malvaron, reveals to them the ancient and powerful Codex, a spellbook of light magics that was scattered into four pieces across the realm after the fall of the four original Mysticons one millennia ago.
Having been given a riddle to the very first piece, the Mysticons go to solve it, but are attacked by the Mage who reveals herself to be none other than their own instructor. Princess Arkayna manages to solve the riddle and obtain the very first fragment of the Codex: A medium-sized forest green-colored book of various spells; thus gaining the mystical power of the bright green Dragon Bracer and defeats Tazma.
Back in the Star Chamber, Malvaron Grimm becomes permanent Solon (instructor/teacher/mentor) to the second generation of legendary Mysticons, replacing his corrupt elder sister, with his best friend Doug Hadderstorm the Cyclops as his assistant. Needing a base of operation, Emerald takes them to the old, old palace which they choose as their secret stronghold. Princess Arkayna holds up her light green cellfie and tells the others to say "Mysticons" as she snaps the picture.
